What does COP mean & why is it so important
The COP rating is a useful thing to understand and you can apply this knowledge to any Heat Pump. COP stands for Co-efficiency Of Performance. In layman’s terms the COP numbers mean for every 1kw of energy used by the Heat Pump, the number equals how many kw of heat it produces. For example on the Specification table of IXCR46V the COP figures read: 16.1 – 6.7. The 6.7 figure relates to when this Heat Pump is in Smart Mode; for every 1kw of power drawn, 6.7kw of heat is produced. When the pool water has reached temperature & the Heat Pump has automatically dropped into a very low power draw to maintain this temperature; for every 1kw of power drawn, 16.1kw of heat is produced. What a phenomenal performance!
TUV Tested
Summerwave Heat Pumps have been tested in the purpose built Testing Rooms at the Factory. They are then sent for independent testing by TUV Rheinland Facilities with the subsequent data from TUV published in the Specification Tables. Independent Testing means you can trust the Specification Data as true and accurate.

Yes, you read correctly. InverX20 has three Modes to choose from:

- Smart Mode has Intelligent Optimization. The Heat Pump will automatically choose to run between 100% – 20% capacity according to data received back from the Sensors measuring real time ambient air conditions and the pool water temperature.
- Silence Mode will allow the Heat Pump to operate at it’s quietest, running from 60% – 20% capacity. So quiet, Silence Mode is suitable for night time use.
After Sales Service
This is something Summerwave excel at regardless of whether the Heat Pump is in or out of Warranty or if the issue is actually an Operational one.
The process if something goes wrong are a few simple steps:
- Contact us with the details of the issue, the model & delivery date of your Heat Pump.
- We will probably ask a few questions to determine if a Technician is required.
- If it is an Operational issue, you will be talked through it over the phone.
- If the issue turns out to be a failure of some sort, whether in or out of Warranty we are happy to help. Most issues can be diagnosed via phone by our Technicians.
- If it is determined that a part has failed, we do not fix, we replace. For example if our Technician determines it is an Electrical Board at fault, a brand new board would be express posted out to an Electrician local to you, to attend your house, remove the faulty board & install the new one. It is that simple.
- We keep a huge stock of spare parts in our Warehouse here in Adelaide.
- From the time of contact with the relevant information, we generally have a result within a week.
Our After Sales Service also includes telephone assistance with the Plumbing up and best position of the Heat Pump. Plumbing & position instructions and advice are contained in the Manual, however it is important that the Plumbing is correct and the Heat Pump is positioned so it can breathe. The Patented Turbo Boost feature is the latest innovation in Heat Pump Technology, enhancing the economic performance of a Heat Pump significantly. For example, Summerwave Inver-Pro Vertical model IPV135 has a heating capacity of 13.5kw, but when Turbo Boost is activated it has a heating capacity of 16.2kw. - If the issue turns out to be a failure of some sort, whether in or out of Warranty we are happy to help. Most issues can be diagnosed via phone by our Technicians.
- If it is determined that a part has failed, we do not fix, we replace. For example if our Technician determines it is an Electrical Board at fault, a brand new board would be express posted out to an Electrician local to you, to attend your house, remove the faulty board & install the new one. It is that simple.
- We keep a huge stock of spare parts in our Warehouse here in Adelaide.
- From the time of contact with the relevant information, we generally have a result within a week.
Our After Sales Service also includes telephone assistance with the Plumbing up and best position of the Heat Pump. Plumbing & position instructions and advice are contained in the Manual, however it is important that the Plumbing is correct and the Heat Pump is positioned so it can breathe. We encourage all purchasers to contact us for advice & assistance with this. If required, a Technician will call you back for complex situations. Call backs generally occur the same or next business day. We strive to keep Our After Sales Service just as efficient as our Heat Pumps.

The Patented Turbo Boost feature is the latest innovation in Heat Pump Technology, enhancing the economic performance of a Heat Pump significantly. For example, Summerwave Inver-Pro Vertical model IPV135 has a heating capacity of 13.5kw, but when Turbo Boost is activated it has a heating capacity of 16.2kw. Initiating the Turbo Boost function creates up to an additional 20% heating or cooling capacity for the duration of water flow. By heating or cooling the water faster, you are therefore heating or cooling cheaper. Inver-Pro works similar to Inver-Eco but with a smoother electrical draw & lower running costs. The Soft Start will begin at zero & over a 2 minute time period will slowly rise to it’s maximum power bringing the water to your chosen temperature. Then, instead of turning off like a non inverted Standard Heat Pump, will drop Hz by Hz to a very low power draw to maintain the temperature. The COP ratings are almost triple that of a Standard Heat Pump and 33% higher than a Standard Inverter Heat Pump. The higher the COP the more money you save on electricity.
